Hernani Travassos was slow to take the kick. During this time Catugi FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Hernani Travassos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro did a great save. Toninho Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guilherme Abud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Folke Österlund made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Travassos in the 19th minute of play forced DENVER™'s goalkeeper Toninho Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Pinheiro having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DENVER™! After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Hernani Travassos got a free kick in the 33rd minute. DENVER™'s Wanderson Passos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Folke Österlund but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Folke Österlund got control of the ball when Cleithon Minuhin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toninho Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Bastos in the 38th minute of play. After 43 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Domingues. Adrianinho Negri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Folke Österlund. Catugi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleithon Minuhin in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilmar Freitas made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Tiaguinho Fernandez got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute of the match, Hernani Travassos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Toninho Pinheiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 60th minute Guilherme Abud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Freitas in the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Denver Ponta got a free kick in the 70th minute. DENVER™ made a substitution. Rodrigo Velasco replaced Guilherme Abud. After 71 played minutes DENVER™ got a freekick which was hit by Denver Ponta. In the 78th minute, Hernani Travassos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catugi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Tiaguinho Fernandez hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Elói Fonseca hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Toninho Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Velasco notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Catugi FC's Folke Österlund. Folke Österlund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Oscar Bastos got a free kick in the 94th minute. Wanderson Passos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Folke Österlund. Catugi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
