Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Di Yuan Liang in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Di Yuan Liang in the 7th minute of play. Hortêncio Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Di Yuan Liang's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Cafu Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luiz Fabiano de Lima was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cafu Martins showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Bob Craft got a free kick in the 19th minute. Hortêncio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Di Yuan Liang in the 21st minute of the match. After 22 minutes Pindorama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermínio Moraes who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Hermínio Moraes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte did a great save. Di Yuan Liang might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hortêncio Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Di Yuan Liang ran back to his position shaking his head. 29 minutes into the game, Martxel Palmer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pindorama the free kick. A collision led to Pombal 2003 F.C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Martxel Palmer hit a great ball. When Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Di Yuan Liang in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pindorama's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Di Yuan Liang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Di Yuan Liang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the game, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Di Yuan Liang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Duarte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho Meira made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Di Yuan Liang in the 52nd minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Di Yuan Liang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hortêncio Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Pombal 2003 F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Martxel Palmer. Luiz Fabiano de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Martins in the 58th minute of the match. Hortêncio Duarte made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Sebastian Zieba sent off a good shot on target. Hortêncio Duarte came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Di Yuan Liang. But to his dismay, Di Yuan Liang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Pindorama from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Sebastian Zieba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hortêncio Duarte. Hortêncio Duarte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Conrado Qwinton charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conrado Qwinton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Pindorama got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Qwinton. After a defensive mix-up in Pindorama's zone, Di Yuan Liang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Duarte came out of the goal and Di Yuan Liang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Pombal 2003 F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Di Yuan Liang looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sebastian Zieba struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Hortêncio Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pombal 2003 F.C.. Luiz Fabiano de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortêncio Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Di Yuan Liang in the 78th minute of play. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Giovani Furlan in the 79th minute. Di Yuan Liang made a great header on Pombal 2003 F.C.'s corner, it was just that Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte managed to reach the ball for a save. When Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Di Yuan Liang in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Di Yuan Liang in the 92nd minute of play. Giovani Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Duarte having to interfere. In the last second Hortêncio Duarte throw himself and got hold of the ball when Di Yuan Liang in the 97thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pombal 2003 F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
