Folke Österlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when F.Salgado F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, F.Salgado F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Borges came free, but Matt Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Österlund having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Catugi FC's zone, Pitin Sánchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Österlund came out of the goal and Pitin Sánchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robert Macaneață could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Folke Österlund made a huge save. Matt Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Abraão in the 32nd minute of play. After 36 minutes, Luiz Fernando Abraão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catugi FC and the F.Salgado F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Abraão. The supporters of F.Salgado F.C. booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siro Rainerio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Folke Österlund made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Aílton Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Siro Rainerio struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Folke Österlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.Salgado F.C.. Pitin Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luiz Fernando Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Folke Österlund made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Teodoro Moreno sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dudu Borges was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Moreno scored 3-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Folke Österlund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Teodoro Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the F.Salgado F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Moreno couldn't finish the play. The supporters of F.Salgado F.C. booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Folke Österlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Macaneață, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dawid Dziewulski in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to F.Salgado F.C. getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Pitin Sánchez hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Teodoro Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Teodoro Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Robert Macaneață struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Folke Österlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.Salgado F.C.. Teodoro Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute, Teodoro Moreno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.Salgado F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 89 minutes into the match, Robert Macaneață had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Folke Österlund. Catugi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Macaneață was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. A collision led to F.Salgado F.C. getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Teodoro Moreno hit a great ball.
