After 4 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Bastos. 7 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Bezerra came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dudu Borges in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Bezerra came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Abraão in the 15th minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hortêncio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortêncio Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Pindorama getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Zé Pedro Salles hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Abraão in the 23rd minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo Veiga. 26 minutes into the game, Conrado Qwinton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hortêncio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Borges in the 38th minute of the match. Dudu Borges did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Hortêncio Duarte 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Aílton Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho Meira made a kick off. Dudu Borges blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hortêncio Duarte having to make a save. Hortêncio Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Borges in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Pindorama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Massa to maneuver through the defense. Hortêncio Duarte didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Catugi FC's Dudu Borges shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Bezerra in the 63rd minute of play. Falcão Paes hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Folke Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Bezerra in the 65th minute of the match. Dudu Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Duarte having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Dudu Borges made a precise shot to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. Pindorama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 93rd minute, Aílton Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Catugi FC from getting a goal against them. Catugi FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
