A well-hit corner resulted in Witalis Lukasik heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Helmut Lossimäe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofil Tyskie, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Pastor Cambranes kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Piotr Osikowicz's late challenge caught a Fc Kertzfeld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Joël Rétière who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Slawomir Cholewa when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Slawomir Cholewa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Titouan Levet in the 57th minute of play forced Astral's goalkeeper Slawomir Cholewa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st match minute, Fc Kertzfeld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Jougla to maneuver through the defense. Zdzislaw Pankiewicz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Many of Astral's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Astral may have spent more time on the ball, but Fc Kertzfeld were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
