Dalmo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tage Backlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tage Backlund ran back to his position shaking his head.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chico de Sousa made a kick off. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. César Moraes hit a great ball. Xiboquinha FC made a substitution. Jeremias Preuss replaced Tage Backlund. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Xiboquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball.
