The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The tension between the Independente FC and the Milan da Freguesia F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Du Song Lin in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Gröhe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Du Song Lin sped through Independente FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Gröhe. In the 92nd minute of the match Milan da Freguesia F.C. got a corner. Independente FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frédson Furtado ran over to the corner to take the kick. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
