An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Paiva in the 2nd minute of play forced Dogelo's goalkeeper Manúel Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the A A Arizona defense, Frank Catarinense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hu Zhen Hong. The A A Arizona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hu Zhen Hong should have stopped the shot. In the 11th match minute, A A Arizona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Hu Zhen Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristóf Földes in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hu Zhen Hong saved A A Arizona from getting behind. With a little luck, Dogelo's Manúel Bento got control of the ball when Sydney Velloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Catarinense came free, but Hu Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Catarinense might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hu Zhen Hong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Catarinense ran back to his position shaking his head. A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Catarinense in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Velloso in the 27th minute of play forced Dogelo's goalkeeper Manúel Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of A A Arizona booed when Dogelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lico Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 minutes of play, Dogelo's Frank Catarinense made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hu Zhen Hong was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hu Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Catarinense in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39thth minute of the game Kristóf Földes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Manuel Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manúel Bento was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute of the match A A Arizona got a corner. Dogelo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nilson Hoffmann ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Nilson Hoffmann got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manúel Bento quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 43rd match minute, A A Arizona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Danış Garipbaş came free, but Hu Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristóf Földes made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristóf Földes in the 55th minute of play forced A A Arizona's goalkeeper Hu Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manúel Bento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, Dogelo's Sebastián Verón got a free kick in the 59th minute. A collision led to Dogelo getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sebastián Verón hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Oliverios Marcilla made a precise shot to the right of Hu Zhen Hong. A A Arizona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 67th minute, Jorge Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egídio Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 70 minutes into the game, one of A A Arizona:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 72 minutes, Dogelo's Ahmet Danış Garipbaş got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hu Zhen Hong. 75 minutes into the match, Dogelo's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Ramos came free, but Manúel Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Dogelo's Oliverios Marcilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hu Zhen Hong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Sydney Velloso made a precise shot to the right of Manúel Bento. Dogelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After a rather tough play, Dogelo's Kristóf Földes got a free kick in the 87th minute. Oliverios Marcilla struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Hu Zhen Hong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dogelo. Hu Zhen Hong came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Dogelo's Oliverios Marcilla. But to his dismay, Oliverios Marcilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Dogelo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
