In the 7th minute, Nilson Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Catarinense came free, but Hu Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Luiz Paulo de Queirós in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Galo do Japi's Dagoberto Tande. A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chucky Norris in the 11th minute of play. Galo do Japi's Dagoberto Tande managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dráusio Nóbrega in the 16 minute of the game. Hu Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hu Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Duarte in the 21st minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, Galo do Japi's Joel Catarinense made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hu Zhen Hong was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute of the match, Manuel Paiva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Delfim Chaves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 29 minutes into the game, Anderson de Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galo do Japi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A A Arizona the free kick. The supporters of A A Arizona booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Chucky Norris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hu Zhen Hong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 52nd minute Joel Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, one of A A Arizona:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A A Arizona. After 55 minutes A A Arizona's goalkeeper Hu Zhen Hong managed, with a little bit of luck, save Chucky Norris's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. In the 58thth minute of the game Joel Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A A Arizona's Alfredo Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Catarinense came free, but Hu Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute of the game Nilson Hoffmann made a throw-in which Sydney Velloso played forward. Nilson Hoffmann got a throw-in 73 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sydney Velloso. Zé Paulo Rossi's late challenge caught a A A Arizona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Paulo Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Galo do Japi getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Zé Paulo Rossi hit a great ball. The A A Arizona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After 95 minutes, Luiz Paulo de Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A A Arizona and the Galo do Japi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, one of A A Arizona:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A A Arizona. Hu Zhen Hong had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Chucky Norris's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Galo do Japi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
