Vila Industrial FC's Aleksandr Leonov quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Dorian Valladares put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Delfim Chaves. Dorian Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Delfim Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Roberto Neiva fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Japi's protests and gave Roberto Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Galo do Japi getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Roberto Neiva hit a great ball. Roberto Cibran, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience was convinced that Dorian Valladares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delfim Chaves was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Valadares in the 18th minute of play forced Vila Industrial FC's goalkeeper César Boldrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Roberto Neiva was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. In the 20th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Neiva to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes Roberto Cibran shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Galo do Japi's Delfim Chaves to catch but Roberto Cibran was lucky. It became 0-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Delfim Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Valladares in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th minute, Chucky Norris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Chico Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo do Japi's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Boldrini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the game, Paulinho de Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila Industrial FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galo do Japi the free kick. Paulinho de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Vila Industrial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Vila Industrial FC's César Boldrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Valadares in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chucky Norris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dorian Valladares might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delfim Chaves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorian Valladares ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian Valladares got free with Delfim Chaves in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, Vila Industrial FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chucky Norris came free, but César Boldrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes Galo do Japi got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Tavares. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Valladares in the 67th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Delfim Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim Chaves was a little too slow when Dorian Valladares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-4. Vila Industrial FC's César Boldrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Valadares in the 78th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Roland Brack managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Industrial FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Brack was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chucky Norris to maneuver through the defense. Chucky Norris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Boldrini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Galo do Japi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vila Industrial FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Vila Industrial FC.
