Gustav Wallengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Loren in the 9th minute of play. Eugenio Loren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eugenio Loren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, Peñaloza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Lavalle to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Peñaloza's Romeo Menendo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 28th minute Ladislao Gaspard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustav Wallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustav Wallengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Loren in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Peñaloza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Urtats to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Loren in the 34th minute of play forced Peñaloza's goalkeeper Gustav Wallengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Marcelo Barovero managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Peñaloza's Relja Jurišić fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 43rd minute, Jose Igon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Rosendo Hunfredo in the 44th minute really tested Marcelo Barovero's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 45 minutes into the match, Adrogue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Menendo came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Adrogue FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Relja Jurišić to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Gaspard in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustav Wallengren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 53 minutes into the game, Jaime Inguma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peñaloza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Adrogue FC the free kick. The tension between the Adrogue FC and the Peñaloza players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Peñaloza booed when Adrogue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Tono didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Relja Jurišić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Adrogue FC defense, Romeo Menendo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Barovero. The Adrogue FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Barovero should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Romeo Menendo made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Barovero. Adrogue FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 65 minutes into the match, Adrogue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Rayman came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Menendo in the 70th minute of play. After 71 minutes Adrogue FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rosendo Hunfredo who took care of the corner kick. Rosendo Hunfredo made a great header on Peñaloza's corner, it was just that Adrogue FC's Marcelo Barovero managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 75th minute, Leonel Rayman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Barovero was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 84th minute Romeo Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Adrogue FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Everardo Cucao hit a great ball. In the 95th minute Romeo Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Peñaloza fans cheered their team off the field, for while Adrogue FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
