João Pedro de Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Barovero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Isidoro Celino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Eurico Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nonatos United's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Barovero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Barovero came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Nonatos United's Eurico Viana. But to his dismay, Eurico Viana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 29th minute of the match. Adrogue FC made a substitution. Emilio Fertus replaced Isidoro Celino. Nonatos United's attentive João Pedro de Amaral managed to snatch the ball when Niceto Guilabertus made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. 32 minutes into the game, Eurico Viana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marcelo Barovero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Fertus was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eurico Viana got free with Marcelo Barovero in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Téo da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, Adrogue FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Téo da Silva. When Nonatos United's Téo da Silva in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Téo da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Barovero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute of the match Nonatos United got a corner. Adrogue FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nonatos United's Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo Barovero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 94th minute, Téo da Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Nonatos United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Adrogue FC throughout the match.
