In the 3rd minute, Hong Jian Fan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Oswaldo Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matias Diegotxe. The crowd rose to their feet as &La vieja Guardia&'s Matias Diegotxe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oswaldo Paraíba. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Samuel de Souza hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Pedrinho Hoffmann scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Garikoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to &La vieja Guardia& getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ramon Baleren hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match Pedrinho Hoffmann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Garikoitz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Enrique Garikoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hong Jian Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Samuel de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Pedrinho Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Garikoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrinho Hoffmann scored 1-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Garikoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Godfredo Hever could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Oswaldo Paraíba made a huge save. In the 30th minute Pedrinho Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Garikoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, &La vieja Guardia&'s goal looked a bit too open when Peng Chao Feng came free, but Enrique Garikoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético-PR were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after &La vieja Guardia&'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedrinho Hoffmann took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Donato Sena advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-3 in the 34th minute. After 37 played minutes &La vieja Guardia& got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Hever. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 41st minute of play forced &La vieja Guardia&'s goalkeeper Enrique Garikoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Garikoitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambrosio Rayman went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Hong Jian Fan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ambrosio Rayman struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Enrique Garikoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético-PR. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to &La vieja Guardia& getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Justo Esiquio hit a great ball. Pedrinho Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hong Jian Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Peng Chao Feng ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Garikoitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. In the 59th minute, Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Enrique Garikoitz. Enrique Garikoitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Hong Jian Fan spun around in front of the goal 62 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of &La vieja Guardia&'s goal. Enrique Garikoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Rayman, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, &La vieja Guardia&'s goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosio Rayman came free, but Enrique Garikoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Melchor Olando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Cordaro in the 70th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hong Jian Fan got free with Enrique Garikoitz in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 played minutes &La vieja Guardia& got a freekick which was hit by Matias Diegotxe. In the 84th minute, Ambrosio Rayman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético-PR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-9. &La vieja Guardia&'s Enrique Garikoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save &La vieja Guardia& from getting a goal against them. Ambrosio Rayman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Garikoitz having to interfere. A collision led to &La vieja Guardia& getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Feliberto Leheren hit a great ball. Peng Chao Feng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atlético-PR's Hong Jian Fan got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enrique Garikoitz made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Hong Jian Fan sent off a good shot on target. After 95 minutes, Gilson Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético-PR and the &La vieja Guardia& players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atlético-PR's Gilson Arantes got a free kick in the 95th minute. Atlético-PR's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
