The AFK Petržalka fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 7 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateo Pietro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rosario Central's goalie prevented a goal. 11 minutes into the game, Nikola Krstović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Mateo Pietro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Nikola Krstović sped through Rosario Central's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mateo Pietro. In the 17th minute, Nikola Krstović made a precise shot to the right of Mateo Pietro. Rosario Central's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Nikola Krstović put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Mateo Pietro. Nikola Krstović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mateo Pietro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Krstović in the 29th minute of play. Nikola Krstović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Pietro having to interfere. Mateo Pietro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Krstović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Nikola Krstović came free, but Mateo Pietro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Pietro came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović. But to his dismay, Nikola Krstović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. In the 42nd minute, Nikola Krstović made a precise shot to the right of Mateo Pietro. Rosario Central's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-10 when Nikola Krstović sped through Rosario Central's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mateo Pietro. After the first half AFK Petržalka were leading 0-10. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Gilesindo was the one to do the kick off. A well placed Nikola Krstović short distance shot in the 52nd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After a rather tough play, Rosario Central's Ovidio Haimar got a free kick in the 57th minute. Mateo Pietro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Krstović in the 58th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Pietro was left in no man's land by his defense there! AFK Petržalka's Shi Cheng Yong was substituted for Matúš Martin. Nikola Krstović might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Pietro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nikola Krstović ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute Nikola Krstović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Pietro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikola Krstović blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateo Pietro having to make a save. Mateo Pietro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikola Krstović in the 74th minute. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Nikola Krstović put it in 0-13 from a short distance just to the right of Mateo Pietro. A hard shot 79 in the game by Sasho Amiorkov from a close distance when the talented Mateo Pietro managed to make a qualified save. Rosario Central's players were relieved. In the 81stth minute of the game Nikola Krstović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Central's Mateo Pietro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 0-14 when Nikola Krstović sped through Rosario Central's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mateo Pietro. In the 87th minute, Nikola Krstović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-15. The audience was convinced that Nikola Krstović's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Pietro was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 93rdth minute of the game Nikola Krstović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Central's Mateo Pietro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Shi Cheng Yong came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mateo Pietro could save by the left post.
