In the 41st minute Bartjan Parmentier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almiro Benevides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Luka Dams notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides. Almiro Benevides was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bartjan Parmentier made the kick off in the second half. Almiro Benevides made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roben Bauweleers in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as KFC Paal-Tervant's Bartjan Parmentier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Almiro Benevides. That made the score 0-9 after 70 minutes of play. After 74 minutes of play, Stars Academy's Cândido Fagundes made it 1-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reinaud De Schutter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roben Bauweleers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Almiro Benevides made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Luka Dams left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Paal-Tervant fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartjan Parmentier in the 86th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Almiro Benevides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Luka Dams kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Almiro Benevides. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almiro Benevides should have stopped the shot. Bartjan Parmentier scored 1-12 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almiro Benevides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. KFC Paal-Tervant's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
