After a defensive mix-up in &La vieja Guardia&'s zone, Clemente Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Garikoitz came out of the goal and Clemente Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 played minutes &La vieja Guardia& got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Olando. After 32 minutes of play &La vieja Guardia&'s Ildefonso Gaizko was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Enrique Garikoitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimir de Almeida went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Clemente Recife scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Garikoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Garikoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Pena in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Danone CC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

&La vieja Guardia&'s Enrique Garikoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir de Almeida in the 57th minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Júlio Pena recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Enrique Garikoitz. Júlio Pena showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Norberto Lluc kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With his leg Enrique Garikoitz managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Danone CC's Vladimir de Almeida fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Clemente Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danone CC's Pedro Luiz Sá was substituted for Dinei de Medeiros. Vladimir de Almeida scored 0-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Garikoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Garikoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir de Almeida in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Silverio Cordaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danone CC made a substitution. Mario Balotelli replaced Vladimir de Almeida. Silverio Cordaro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 91 played minutes Ziemowit Ryback shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for &La vieja Guardia&'s Enrique Garikoitz to catch but Ziemowit Ryback was lucky. It became 0-6 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Neto got free with Enrique Garikoitz in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
