Hong Jian Fan might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Almiro Benevides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hong Jian Fan ran back to his position shaking his head. The Atlético-PR fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 10th minute, Pedrinho Hoffmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético-PR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Almiro Benevides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Stars Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Faria to maneuver through the defense. Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Almiro Benevides in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Almiro Benevides didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambrosio Rayman went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Homero Brochado in the 33rd minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Oswaldo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Cândido Fagundes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almiro Benevides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosio Rayman came free, but Almiro Benevides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Atlético-PR's Ambrosio Rayman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Perivaldo Sampaio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 52 minutes, Perivaldo Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético-PR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Almiro Benevides was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedrinho Hoffmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 54 minute of play. Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Stars Academy from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Almiro Benevides was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ambrosio Rayman struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Almiro Benevides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético-PR. 63 minutes into the game, Abílio Barata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stars Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético-PR the free kick. After 63 played minutes Stars Academy got a freekick which was hit by Abílio Barata. Almiro Benevides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hong Jian Fan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Almiro Benevides when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homero Brochado in the 70th minute of the match. Pedrinho Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almiro Benevides having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Homero Brochado came free, but Oswaldo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Atlético-PR booed when Stars Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Estrada didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrinho Hoffmann got free with Almiro Benevides in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atlético-PR were furious when Samuel de Souza was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 76 minutes into the game, one of Atlético-PR:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides got control of the ball when Pedrinho Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hong Jian Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
