Virgílio Serpa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 minutes AFK Petržalka's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frits Evenhuis who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AFK Petržalka's goalie and right to Kostas Sourpis. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AFK Petržalka's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kent Sjöö in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teófilo Belém prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adam Hrdina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kostas Sourpis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MC ESPANHOL were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after AFK Petržalka's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frits Evenhuis took the corner. MC ESPANHOL's Frits Evenhuis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adam Hrdina in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Virgílio Serpa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adam Hrdina was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Teófilo Belém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Sjöö, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Ribeiro got free with Adam Hrdina in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Máximo Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teófilo Belém made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Sjöö in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dávid Strelec made a kick off. Adam Hrdina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Palma, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Tomáš Rigo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Adam Hrdina came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by MC ESPANHOL's Virgílio Serpa. But to his dismay, Virgílio Serpa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Adam Hrdina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Sourpis, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute Frits Evenhuis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Hrdina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 65 in the game by Kent Sjöö from a close distance when the talented Teófilo Belém managed to make a qualified save. MC ESPANHOL's players were relieved. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Teófilo Belém had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Milan Škriniar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. MC ESPANHOL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Dávid Strelec scored to the left of an out of position Teófilo Belém, making the score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kent Sjöö got free with Teófilo Belém in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Frits Evenhuis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Hrdina was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. MC ESPANHOL had won after a very even match.
