The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Remigiusz Mlekodaj managed to get in a good position for a shot. 3City United's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigiusz Mlekodaj was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Olof Gummeson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Marczyniec in the 11th minute of play forced Mantorp's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gummeson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute 3City United were awarded a corner. I Putu Tu went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that I Putu Tu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sven-Olof Gummeson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 17 minutes into the match, Bernt Kihlberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernt Ånger. 3City United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernt Kihlberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Bernt Kihlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute Bernt Kihlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Ånger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, 3City United's Aron Musta got a free kick in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernt Kihlberg got free with Bernt Ånger in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, 3City United's goalkeeper Bernt Ånger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernt Kihlberg. In the 35th minute of the match Mantorp got a corner. 3City United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edvard Palmkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 37th minute Remigiusz Mlekodaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Gummeson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Olof Gummeson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigiusz Mlekodaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Sven-Olof Gummeson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remigiusz Mlekodaj's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After 40 minutes of play, 3City United's Boruc Mierzwa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Olof Gummeson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th match minute, Mantorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Blom to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigiusz Mlekodaj in the 47th minute of play forced Mantorp's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gummeson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mantorp's goalie and right to Boguslaw Marczyniec. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mantorp's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Anders Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Boguslaw Marczyniec came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the 3City United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boguslaw Marczyniec couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute Bernt Kihlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Ånger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Miroslaw Buda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Lundqvist in the 62nd minute of play forced 3City United's goalkeeper Bernt Ånger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Olof Gummeson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Mierzwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boguslaw Marczyniec got free with Sven-Olof Gummeson in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernt Ånger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Hurtig in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Kihlberg in the 76th minute of play forced 3City United's goalkeeper Bernt Ånger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mantorp made a substitution. Sven-Edvin Henriksson replaced Aaron Lundqvist. The supporters of Mantorp booed when 3City United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Musta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 minutes Mantorp's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was I Putu Tu who took care of the corner kick. In the 86th minute of the match, Boguslaw Marczyniec got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sven-Olof Gummeson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Boguslaw Marczyniec could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Sven-Olof Gummeson however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as 3City United's Boguslaw Marczyniec slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sven-Olof Gummeson. That made the score 1-2 after 88 minutes of play. Boguslaw Marczyniec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Olof Gummeson having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded 3City United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mantorp.
