After a defensive mix-up in Gaviotas FC's zone, Paulo Pinkhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zein Tutupoli came out of the goal and Paulo Pinkhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matthias Holmgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Gaviotas FC's Fernan Herauso made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renaldo Segarra was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, Jörlanda's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Herauso came free, but Renaldo Segarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Gaviotas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Patxi to maneuver through the defense. Gaviotas FC's Ivan Mancio was substituted for Inocencio Patxi. The supporters of Jörlanda booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Patxi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renaldo Segarra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Östen Hedin's late challenge caught a Gaviotas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Östen Hedin helped the player get up and apologised. Östen Hedin hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Gaviotas FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Jörlanda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ermegildo Benitez took the corner. A collision led to Jörlanda getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Heine Weitemeyer hit a great ball. Fernan Herauso struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Renaldo Segarra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaviotas FC. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gaviotas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jörlanda had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
