The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, MC ESPANHOL's Virgílio Serpa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernt Ånger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, MC ESPANHOL's Virgílio Serpa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernt Ånger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernt Ånger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frits Evenhuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute Kostas Sourpis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Ånger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernt Ånger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kostas Sourpis's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Bernt Ånger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frits Evenhuis in the 19th minute of the match. Bernt Ånger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kostas Sourpis in the 20th minute of play. With an all-out effort, 3City United's Teófilo Belém threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Boguslaw Marczyniec, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bernt Ånger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frits Evenhuis's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Dominik Galagan came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Teófilo Belém could save by the left post. 3City United were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after MC ESPANHOL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. I Putu Tu took the corner. The supporters of MC ESPANHOL booed when 3City United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Musta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigiusz Mlekodaj had several of the MC ESPANHOL's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 43 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Teófilo Belém as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 46th minute Kostas Sourpis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Ånger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Teófilo Belém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boruc Mierzwa in the 55th minute of the match. Boruc Mierzwa took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teófilo Belém. Teófilo Belém dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 3City United's Bernt Ånger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Serpa in the 68th minute of play. Boruc Mierzwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, MC ESPANHOL's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Marczyniec came free, but Teófilo Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teófilo Belém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Terasek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, MC ESPANHOL's Kostas Sourpis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernt Ånger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aldo Giovannelli kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes MC ESPANHOL got a freekick which was hit by João Gomes. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 3City United had won after a very even match.
