Bernt Kihlberg took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Ugutz. Angelo Ugutz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 13th minute of the match Mantorp got a corner. Países Bajos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edvard Palmkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. 17 minutes into the match, Mantorp's goal looked a bit too open when Timos Kavourakis came free, but Sven-Olof Gummeson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Bernt Kihlberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Países Bajos's Angelo Ugutz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sven-Olof Gummeson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timos Kavourakis in the 20th minute of play. 26 minutes in the game Octavio Guillem did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Dalmacio Tebaldo. A collision led to Países Bajos getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Dalmacio Tebaldo hit a great ball. Mantorp's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edvard Palmkvist in the 38th minute. After taking down the ball on Mantorp's corner Edvard Palmkvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Angelo Ugutz quite easily take care of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Mantorp's goal looked a bit too open when Timos Kavourakis came free, but Sven-Olof Gummeson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timos Kavourakis made a kick off. Angelo Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Lundqvist in the 52nd minute of play. Mantorp's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edvard Palmkvist in the 53rd minute. Bernt Kihlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Ugutz having to interfere. Orlando Peixotos short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Sven-Olof Gummeson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sven-Olof Gummeson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timos Kavourakis in the 67th minute. Sven-Olof Gummeson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Artaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Ugutz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernt Kihlberg's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Orlando Peixoto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sven-Olof Gummeson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mantorp made a substitution. Sven-Edvin Henriksson replaced Aaron Lundqvist. Países Bajos's Alvaro Ebardo was substituted for Orlando Peixoto. The crowd rose to their feet as Países Bajos's Camilo Artaldo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sven-Olof Gummeson. That made the score 1-2 after 88 minutes of play. After 91 played minutes Países Bajos got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Guillem. When the match was over Países Bajos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mantorp throughout the match.
