The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the FC ARK CS defense, Zézinho Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicky Askew. The FC ARK CS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicky Askew should have stopped the shot. In the 8th minute, Philip Caine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danone CC's Zézinho Silva was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Danone CC's Adelino de Brito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicky Askew narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Danone CC's Gustavo Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicky Askew made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Gustavo Alvarenga scored 4-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicky Askew, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Zézinho Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC ARK CS's Nicholas Searle quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Flavinho Paes, made in the 31st minute of the game. In the 41st minute, FC ARK CS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zézinho Silva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, FC ARK CS's Ken McGurk got a free kick in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the FC ARK CS defense, Zézinho Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicky Askew. The FC ARK CS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicky Askew should have stopped the shot. Nicky Askew didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Alvarenga went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Durvalino de Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durvalino de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Conan Layfield kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of FC ARK CS booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken McGurk in the 80th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Marcelo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Tris Marriot dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo da Costa, 7-1. FC ARK CS's Nicky Askew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Alvarenga in the 88th minute of play. Zézinho Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zézinho Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zézinho Silva hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Nicky Askew came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Danone CC's Gustavo Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Gustavo Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. Nicky Askew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danone CC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
