In the 12th minute Gustavo Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Lilja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patric Almkvist's late challenge caught a Danone CC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patric Almkvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Patric Almkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Alvarenga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Lilja was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Jerry Mattsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo da Costa. The supporters of Danone CC booed when DFP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Lööf didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Jerry Mattsson made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo da Costa. Danone CC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Alex Lööf kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The DFP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zézinho Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. Elof Lund scored 0-4 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo da Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. DFP's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleksander Eliasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olov Berggren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo da Costa having to interfere. DFP's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
