During this time U. de Tarapacá's players had a chance to rest. 24 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Blanco Paris came free, but Basilio Dragicevic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miren Guilisasti in the 25th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Basilio Dragicevic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blanco Paris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Basilio Dragicevic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Blanco Paris notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Inter de Chillán's Basilio Dragicevic. Basilio Dragicevic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blanco Paris to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Barni San Martín got a free kick in the 53rd minute. U. de Tarapacá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blanco Paris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basilio Dragicevic made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Quentín Alonso sent off a good shot on target. Francisco Lacunza took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elton Tin. Elton Tin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U. de Tarapacá had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
