In the 15th minute, Aureliano Fariña left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Altermundi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Aureliano Fariña took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ceandro Zumaeta. Ceandro Zumaeta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 24 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Huaiquiman came free, but Ceandro Zumaeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, one of Altermundi FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Altermundi FC. Luciano Carretero had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Mark González's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Saverio Grebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capo de Provincia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altermundi FC the free kick. A collision led to Capo de Provincia getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Saverio Grebe hit a great ball. Altermundi FC's Luciano Carretero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliazar Evar in the 36th minute of play. Aureliano Fariña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Capo de Provincia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Altermundi FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julio Huaiquiman to make the kick off. Ceandro Zumaeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Huaiquiman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Julio Huaiquiman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ceandro Zumaeta was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Aureliano Fariña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Andolín Pumarino came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Altermundi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andolín Pumarino couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Altermundi FC booed when Capo de Provincia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Grebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Altermundi FC's Disvandis Fabres seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Disvandis Fabres the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Altermundi FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Disvandis Fabres had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A sloppy throw-in by Jose Alegría in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Capo de Provincia's Uriel Jordan. A hard shot 82 in the game by Julio Huaiquiman from a close distance when the talented Ceandro Zumaeta managed to make a qualified save. Capo de Provincia's players were relieved. After having played for 86 minutes, Andolín Pumarino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altermundi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andolín Pumarino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 minutes, Romildo Scheid mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altermundi FC and the Capo de Provincia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mark González recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Altermundi FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Capo de Provincia.
