After 17 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Blanco Paris. Pedro Tomás Berau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Blanco Paris hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Velasco Oñate got a free kick in the 26th minute. Mariano Talledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Ignacio Berguecio in the 27th minute of play. In the 39th minute Belmiro Peñaranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Talledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Pedro Tomás Berau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mónico Queirolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Lorenzo Ariztía hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Tomás Berau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The U. de Tarapacá players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CRUZ DEL SUR were winning 0-1.

U. de Tarapacá's Mariano Talledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Peñaranda in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, U. de Tarapacá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidelio Herboso to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Talledo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Ignacio Berguecio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. Javier Carreto hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Podador Arraño kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdul Esquerra in the 80th minute of play forced U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Mariano Talledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's Blanco Paris sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mónico Queirolo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Talledo came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by CRUZ DEL SUR's Marc Pedraza. But to his dismay, Marc Pedraza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. CRUZ DEL SUR's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
