Sebastian Piñera made a great header on Snorlax FC's corner, it was just that U. de Tarapacá's Mariano Talledo managed to reach the ball for a save. When Velasco Oñate fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U. de Tarapacá's protests and gave Velasco Oñate a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Velasco Oñate hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vincente Felice to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes, U. de Tarapacá's Val Quera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jhonny Herrera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U. de Tarapacá reached it. Blanco Paris received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jhonny Herrera came out and tried to block the shot, but Blanco Paris slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute, Vincente Felice made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Talledo. U. de Tarapacá's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Mariano Talledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincente Felice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rodrigo Astudillo fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U. de Tarapacá's protests and gave Rodrigo Astudillo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Snorlax FC booed when U. de Tarapacá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Sebastian Piñera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Talledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Snorlax FC's Jhonny Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blanco Paris in the 71st minute of play. The Snorlax FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Jhonny Herrera came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by U. de Tarapacá's Saturnín Vicuña. But to his dismay, Saturnín Vicuña quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Adam Nicoletti hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Vincente Felice came free, but Mariano Talledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U. de Tarapacá had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
