Capo de Provincia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdul Esquerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Peñaranda in the 26th minute of play forced Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Ceandro Zumaeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Ariztía hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Belmiro Peñaranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceandro Zumaeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Capo de Provincia's Mark González to fire away a dangerous shot which Mónico Queirolo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Uriel Jordan kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Eliazar Evar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capo de Provincia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ceandro Zumaeta was a little too slow when José Ignacio Berguecio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 78th minute, Capo de Provincia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Belmiro Peñaranda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of CRUZ DEL SUR booed when Capo de Provincia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Montalva didn't get a good kick on the ball. CRUZ DEL SUR's Aristeo Oquendo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ceandro Zumaeta but with some difficulty. 87 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Ceandro Zumaeta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Peñaranda. Ceandro Zumaeta made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Belmiro Peñaranda sent off a good shot on target. The Capo de Provincia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CRUZ DEL SUR were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
