Dionisio Ondino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Bilintx's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Elite Azulgrana's Pastor Sagrario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Sergi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Mauro Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elite Azulgrana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Sky FC the free kick. Black Sky FC's Melquiades Sergi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Black Sky FC from getting a goal against them. The referee ignored Black Sky FC's protests and gave Arnulfo Aztore a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Black Sky FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Aztore. 22 minutes into the match, Black Sky FC's goalkeeper Melquiades Sergi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Sagrario. Melquiades Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Loramendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Matos in the 28th minute of play forced Black Sky FC's goalkeeper Melquiades Sergi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Sergi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Matos went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Pastor Sagrario kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melquiades Sergi. That made the score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. Melquiades Sergi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Loramendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Melquiades Sergi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Elite Azulgrana fully deserved thier win.
