Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) MONTANHA's Wei Guang Xing started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Peres. Wei Guang Xing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faustão de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wei Guang Xing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andres van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Romário in the 15th minute of play. Ciseski‘s's Faustão de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Edmond Boureau reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andres van der Sar. The goal made the score 1-0. 21 minutes into the game, MONTANHA's Czeslaw Walec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Faustão de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Ciseski‘s's goal looked a bit too open when Wei Guang Xing came free, but Faustão de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar got control of the ball when Edmond Boureau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Faustão de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Cardozo in the 32nd minute of play. Wei Guang Xing scored 1-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faustão de Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faustão de Moraes came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by MONTANHA's Afonso Cardozo. But to his dismay, Afonso Cardozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Dé Recife hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half MONTANHA were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roberto Romário made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Roberto Romário put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Andres van der Sar. Roberto Romário fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres van der Sar having to interfere. Andres van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmond Boureau in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Salvador Caeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustão de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wei Guang Xing in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute of the match MONTANHA got a corner. Ciseski‘s's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Afonso Cardozo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on MONTANHA's corner Gonçalo Matos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Faustão de Moraes quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of MONTANHA booed when Ciseski‘s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustão de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wei Guang Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute of the match, Wei Guang Xing tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Faustão de Moraes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Ciseski‘s's Faustão de Moraes got control of the ball when Afonso Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Ciseski‘s's goalkeeper Faustão de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Cardozo. 91 minutes into the match, MONTANHA's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Boureau came free, but Andres van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Salvador Caeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustão de Moraes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Afonso Cardozo. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MONTANHA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
