Inter de Chillán's Florencio Jax quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nunez Gipuzkoa, made in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cobresal's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anton Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Gregorio Quintero sent off a good shot on target. When Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Cobresal getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nunez Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. Vatan Enfal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea having to interfere. Anton Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Gregorio Quintero sent off a good shot on target. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Chillán from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vatan Enfal in the 29th minute of play forced Cobresal's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inter de Chillán were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Cobresal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tobías Izamit took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Salvador Mateluna managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Anton Björnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Quintero in the 32nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vatan Enfal in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea saved Cobresal from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Vatan Enfal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Chillán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gregorio Quintero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anton Björnberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Gregorio Quintero slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Gregorio Quintero made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea. That made the score 1-2 after 55 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vatan Enfal got free with Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Scapini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Ignacio Allard in the 67th minute of play. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea was a little too slow when Vatan Enfal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-3. Cobresal's Kenny McCormick was substituted for Danilo Diaz de Valdes. Anton Björnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Quintero in the 72nd minute of the match. Rickard Erserman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea came out and tried to block the shot, but Rickard Erserman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 74th minute. Cobresal made a substitution. Andolín Duvauchelle replaced Gaitano Valdovinos. Anton Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Scapini in the 83rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rickard Erserman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea. That made the score 1-5 in the 86 minute of play. In the 90th minute, Rickard Erserman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Rickard Erserman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea. That made the score 1-6 in the 95 minute of play.
