In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cobresal's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svend Betz was the one to do the kick off. FSX UNITED's Ye Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Scapini in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Svend Betz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FSX UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. FSX UNITED's Thomas Cochrane was substituted for Evelio Matetich. FSX UNITED made a substitution. Marcelo Salas replaced Mircea Popilean. FSX UNITED were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Cobresal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karl-Åke Kvist took the corner.
