Dale Cummings blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Cuss having to make a save. 3 minutes into the match, Goo Goo Dolls's goalkeeper Benjamin Cuss had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Cummings. Benjamin Cuss made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Dale Cummings sent off a good shot on target. If Matteo Gillis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Friggle FC's Urban Ekström got a free kick in the 11th minute. Dale Cummings might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Cuss. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dale Cummings ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Mangione in the 17th minute of play forced Friggle FC's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Friggle FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gianluca Infante was slow to take the kick. During this time Goo Goo Dolls's players had a chance to rest. Cacá Mangione made a great header on Goo Goo Dolls's corner, it was just that Friggle FC's Arturo Boruc managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 20th minute Olimpiu Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Lane in the 23rd minute of play forced Friggle FC's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Friggle FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Délio Kartal hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Friggle FC's zone, Felix Lane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Boruc came out of the goal and Felix Lane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá Mangione in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute Olimpiu Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Goo Goo Dolls were awarded a corner. Gianluca Infante went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Friggle FC's Matthijs Waidijk got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cacá Mangione made the kick off in the second half. Arturo Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Lane in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Felix Lane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goo Goo Dolls's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Lane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Boruc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fábio Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Goo Goo Dolls:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Friggle FC:s goal. Goo Goo Dolls made a substitution. Trey Hughes-Guy replaced Fábio Quintal. Goo Goo Dolls made a substitution. Teddy Ball replaced Steve Boulding. Friggle FC made a substitution. German Nieto replaced Matthijs Waidijk. A collision led to Friggle FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Aktuğ Gariboğlu hit a great ball. A hard shot by Gianluca Infante from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Arturo Boruc's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 67 minutes into the match, Friggle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Mangione came free, but Arturo Boruc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Friggle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Lane came free, but Arturo Boruc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Robert Voltri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Goo Goo Dolls's Benjamin Cuss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Voltri in the 80th minute of play. Robert Voltri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Goo Goo Dolls's Olimpiu Dragnea in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Friggle FC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olimpiu Dragnea got free with Arturo Boruc in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Goo Goo Dolls were awarded a corner. Gianluca Infante went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Felix Lane managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 90th minute, Robert Voltri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Cuss was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Goo Goo Dolls's zone, Robert Voltri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Cuss came out of the goal and Robert Voltri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Dragnea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Friggle FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
