The Ekipa Damcia fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Ekipa Damcia's Sérgio Jacinto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 86th minute of the match Goo Goo Dolls got a corner. Ekipa Damcia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gianluca Infante ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Goo Goo Dolls's Cacá Mangione in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
