Zé Sabóia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Fonseca got free with Sylwester Zarobski in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Saiko FC's Mateus Catarinense got a free kick in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar de Amaral came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Saiko FC defense, Valdemar de Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Sabóia. The Saiko FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Sabóia should have stopped the shot. Sylwester Zarobski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Bati in the 23rd minute of play. Gabriel Bati's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Sylwester Zarobski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Valdemar de Amaral took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Sabóia. Zé Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 30 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Sylwester Zarobski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseu Fonseca. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Romero in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton de Andrade came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Gonçalves in the 35th minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Sylwester Zarobski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 played minutes Saiko FC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Gonçalves. After 42 minutes of play, Grêmio 20 Julho's Valdir Cavalcante made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Sabóia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sylwester Zarobski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Grêmio 20 Julho were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Bati came free, but Sylwester Zarobski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Saiko FC booed when Grêmio 20 Julho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Grêmio 20 Julho's Zé Carlos Pernambucano got a free kick in the 57th minute. A hard shot by Humberto Soeiro from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Zé Sabóia's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Sylwester Zarobski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sylwester Zarobski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Bati, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes Grêmio 20 Julho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Walmir Garcia who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Walmir Garcia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Grêmio 20 Julho's Sylwester Zarobski did a great save. In the 74th minute, Wesley Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Pires in the 83rd minute of play. Zé Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdemar de Amaral's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Grêmio 20 Julho were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Saiko FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Humberto Soeiro took the corner. After taking down the ball on Grêmio 20 Julho's corner Humberto Soeiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zé Sabóia quite easily take care of the ball. In the 88th minute, Gabriel Bati left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saiko FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Jairo Trancoso hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Humberto Soeiro sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Zé Sabóia threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Humberto Soeiro this time. The Saiko FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grêmio 20 Julho's performance. The match ended with a win for Grêmio 20 Julho.
