In the 12th minute Idalécio Baldaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Babür Kongurtay in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frederico Gomes in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Chaves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Elias Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After having played for 27 minutes, Thomas Semeloglou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragões Barbudos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Semeloglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Betão de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Daniel Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fernando Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Dragões Barbudos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Gomes couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Idalécio Baldaia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betão de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Idalécio Baldaia made a kick off. Idalécio Baldaia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão de Amaral having to interfere. In the 55th minute of the match, Babür Kongurtay got a very nice opportunity to score, but Betão de Amaral was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
