With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilson do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute Eliseu Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Walmir Garcia was slow to take the kick. During this time Saiko FC's players had a chance to rest. Mateus Catarinense scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nilson do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Billy Dowdall during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes Bandelocos got a freekick which was hit by Billy Dowdall. Nilson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Billy Dowdall in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Brasil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Betão Quirino's late challenge caught a Saiko FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betão Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. Betão Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Gonçalves in the 46th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

58 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Gonçalves came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Rafael Sobis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Zé Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Sobis in the 63rd minute of the match. Rafael Sobis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Sobis in the 70th minute of play forced Saiko FC's goalkeeper Zé Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Saiko FC booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Betão Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
