The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute Valdir Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sylwester Zarobski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Han Sang Xing in the 31st minute of play. Sylwester Zarobski came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ's Han Sang Xing. But to his dismay, Han Sang Xing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Nuno Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Valdir Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. Sylwester Zarobski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Han Sang Xing in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Grêmio 20 Julho getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Valdir Cavalcante hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ's zone, Valdir Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Maranhense came out of the goal and Valdir Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th match minute, DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Han Sang Xing to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Valdir Cavalcante made the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Valdemar de Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2.
