An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Zhen Fan in the 25th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Zhen Fan came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Celestino Arnalt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reko Nybacka was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Erik Sanches got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walmir Pombal was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Benjamim Alvarenga hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute Pan Zhen Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reko Nybacka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Walmir Pombal put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Qu Feng Bin. If Miguel Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Catugi FC's Walmir Pombal in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Pan Zhen Fan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Godofredo Cebo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Qu Feng Bin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Maranhense in the 64th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Catugi FC's corner Vicente Valladares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Qu Feng Bin quite easily take care of the ball. Reko Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Godofredo Cebo sent off a good shot on target. Fabiano Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Reko Nybacka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godofredo Cebo in the 74th minute. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Arnalt in the 75th minute of play. Celestino Arnalt scored 2-3 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reko Nybacka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pan Zhen Fan. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godofredo Cebo in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reko Nybacka saved Catugi FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godofredo Cebo in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reko Nybacka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute Walmir Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qu Feng Bin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Edson Couto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catugi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético São Sebastião the free kick. Edson Couto hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Atlético São Sebastião's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
