With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael Nazario Serre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Internazionale-RS's Carlos Alberto Trigo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Oswaldo Prado, made in the 4th minute of the game. Internazionale-RS were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Papunhas EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dany-Adams De Scheper took the corner. Internazionale-RS's Dany-Adams De Scheper was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ismael Nazario Serre came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Internazionale-RS's Pedro Augusto Alves. But to his dismay, Pedro Augusto Alves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Stefan Neubrandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho de Carvalho in the 28th minute of the match. Stefan Neubrandt made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Telmo Peres sent off a good shot on target. Rogelio Lynch might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Nazario Serre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Lynch ran back to his position shaking his head. Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Lynch, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ismael Nazario Serre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto Alves in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Alves came free, but Ismael Nazario Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 minutes, Pedro Augusto Alves made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Augusto Alves took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Nazario Serre. Ismael Nazario Serre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.

The wind increased when Valdemar de Moraes made the kick off in the second half. Michel Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ismael Nazario Serre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Augusto Alves got free with Ismael Nazario Serre in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Papunhas EC's zone, Pedro Augusto Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Nazario Serre came out of the goal and Pedro Augusto Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oswaldo Prado charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oswaldo Prado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Papunhas EC's Oswaldo Prado got a free kick in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Augusto Alves. Pedro Augusto Alves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Ismael Nazario Serre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Augusto Alves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Ismael Nazario Serre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogelio Lynch during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Internazionale-RS got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Lynch. Pedro Augusto Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ismael Nazario Serre made a huge save. Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Telmo Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Pedro Augusto Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ismael Nazario Serre made a huge save. Ismael Nazario Serre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Augusto Alves in the 84th minute. The Papunhas EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Internazionale-RS's performance. The match ended with a win for Internazionale-RS.
