An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 35th minute of play forced Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper João Francisco Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harold Tronconi in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laçın Cumayev saved SC Braga from getting behind. A collision led to Grêmio RK75 getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Lucas Veríssimo hit a great ball. In the 44th minute Stig-Åke Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harold Tronconi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laçın Cumayev showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Harold Tronconi came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Grêmio RK75 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harold Tronconi couldn't finish the play. In the 99th minute, Harold Tronconi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio RK75 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. SC Braga's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
