None of the them looked very eager to play. 狄昆傲 started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Zanette prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zigmantas Gimbutas charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zigmantas Gimbutas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes E.C. Galera got a freekick which was hit by Edson Simão. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, 狄昆傲 managed to get in a good position for a shot. E.C. Galera's supporters rose to their feet, but 狄昆傲 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laçın Cumayev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 狄昆傲 in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laçın Cumayev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If 狄昆傲 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute 狄昆傲 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laçın Cumayev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laçın Cumayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 狄昆傲, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laçın Cumayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 狄昆傲 in the 29th minute of the match. After 33 minutes of play, E.C. Galera's 狄昆傲 made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laçın Cumayev was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the game, SC Braga's Quintino Carvalhais nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juvenal Zanette made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Zigmantas Gimbutas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Juvenal Zanette made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zigmantas Gimbutas to make the kick off. In the 60th minute, Quintino Carvalhais ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juvenal Zanette was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. SC Braga made a substitution. Stig-Åke Mattsson replaced Zigmantas Gimbutas. SC Braga's Antonio Cieri was substituted for Quintino Carvalhais. SC Braga's Geraldo Lucas was substituted for André Jordão. Laçın Cumayev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 狄昆傲, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Juvenal Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when 狄昆傲 came free, but Laçın Cumayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 minutes, Stig-Åke Mattsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Braga and the E.C. Galera players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Stig-Åke Mattsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 狄昆傲 took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laçın Cumayev. Laçın Cumayev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
