Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal got control of the ball when Arí Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute Arí Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atakan Oykan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Siekkötter went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 12thth minute of the game Murilo Cabral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute of the match, Willian Queirós got a very nice opportunity to score, but Esen Sanal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 19 minutes into the game, Murilo Cabral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Esen Sanal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arí Pereira got free with Esen Sanal in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Arí Pereira scored to the left of an out of position Esen Sanal, making the score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's zone, Murilo Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esen Sanal came out of the goal and Murilo Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, LauerArmy's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Feng Yan came free, but Atakan Oykan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renato Augusto was the one to do the kick off. Atakan Oykan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lei Feng Yan in the 52nd minute. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Lei Feng Yan took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Atakan Oykan to make any attempt to save it. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Cabral in the 58th minute of play. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Cabral in the 61st minute of play. S.E.R. After 81 minutes of play, LauerArmy's Murilo Cabral made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esen Sanal was left in no man's land by his defense there! LauerArmy's Atakan Oykan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save LauerArmy from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Krisztián Véber reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Atakan Oykan. The goal made the score 3-4. Yani Shtonov hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Renato Augusto suffered a concussion in the 95th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Yani Shtonov's late challenge caught a S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yani Shtonov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Yani Shtonov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
