The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Sielce Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnsteinn Guðbjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

André Onana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikola Krstović went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 94 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Alek Justus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Onana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AFK Petržalka had won after a very even match.
