After 33 minutes of play, Marquês de Herval's Nestor Paraibano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaspar Gilesindo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gaspar Gilesindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 40th minute of the match. The corner led to Marquês de Herval's Nestor Paraibano getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Paranhos Ariranha FC made a substitution. Honorato Afonso replaced Guillermo Baleren. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Martins was the one to do the kick off. Gaspar Gilesindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Cano in the 66th minute of play. In the 95th minute German Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Gilesindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Grøneng to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Marquês de Herval players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
