The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Cavalera got free with Dida Taffarel in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ogro F.C.'s Alex Van Halen got a free kick in the 40th minute. Alysson Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Cano in the 41st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Marquês de Herval's Alysson Rezende threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nestor Paraibano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ogro F.C.'s Marco Minnemann was substituted for Igor Cavalera. Moussa Kabre kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marquês de Herval players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ogro F.C..
