Max Gilespie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Richard McNeish got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, S S Palestra Italia's Remo da Costa got control of the ball when Quentin Pitullich tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remo da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lloyd McCodrum, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 44 minutes of play, Gavião Kyikatejê's Lloyd McCodrum made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remo da Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 played minutes S S Palestra Italia got a freekick which was hit by César Terra. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dean McAusland to make the kick off. The Gavião Kyikatejê fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. S S Palestra Italia's Remo da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean McAusland in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S S Palestra Italia's Dagoberto Rossi got a free kick in the 92nd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the S S Palestra Italia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gavião Kyikatejê.
