Nicolas Burutzagi's late challenge caught a El Ridiculo Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Burutzagi helped the player get up and apologised. Nicolas Burutzagi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Quitilipi's goalkeeper Guaberto Cebo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Mikelar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 23rd playminute. Eliseo Brun charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Guaberto Cebo came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Ordono slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Alvaro Mikelar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Guaberto Cebo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Mikelar got free with Guaberto Cebo in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Ursino to make the kick off. The supporters of Quitilipi booed when El Ridiculo Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Matxin didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Ridiculo Football Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
