Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Köping FK the free kick. After 20 played minutes Atlético Nuevo Laredo got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Orlan. With an all-out effort, Köping FK's Benicio Javiero threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kenneth Stebbing, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Valentin Orlan kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Valentin Orlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute Kenneth Stebbing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Nuevo Laredo's zone, Kenneth Stebbing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 47 minutes of play Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Valentin Orlan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pan Hai Chao to make the kick off. Kenneth Stebbing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benicio Javiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Hai Chao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benicio Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Hai Chao in the 64th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pan Hai Chao in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benicio Javiero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the match, Köping FK's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Bernat came free, but 柳亮战 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Köping FK's 柳亮战 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Bernat in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Flavio Etxatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Etxatxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
